A Tier 1 Canadian bank identified a major product gap and competitive weakness in its retail lending portfolio, and determined it was necessary to provide a new offering that blended the features and benefits of a mortgage and personal line of credit.  In order to maintain market share and achieve revenue targets, business process design would need to be completed on an aggressive time frame with limited scope for enhancements to the existing technology infrastructure.
